Nope, not film stuff!

These are pretty old, from last semester, but I was scanning some stuff from my sketchbooks and I thought I would post these!

Mostly just me foolin' around while watching Harry Potter movies and Sweeney Todd. I don't necessarily love these, but I thought some of them came out kinda fun.

And these are some studies from District 9 (Loove that movie)

First Film Post! Backgrounds

Here are a few of the backgrounds I have painted for my film so far (they scanned a bit pale so I'll have to adjust them later, but still). All are acrylic.

Hopefully going to begin animation soon!

Hey! It's been a while!

Last week was the awesome Character Animation Gallery show! It was really fun and it was great to see everyone's work!

Silly me forgot to take a proper picture of my gallery space, but here's basically what it looked like, just on the floor of my dorm room.

I don't think I've posted most of these in the past so here's some clearer pictures!

These two seemed to be the most popular.

I got a lot of "whoa! Is that Frekazoid?!"

and everyone loves Little Shop of Horrors anyway!

Now film semester is officially in gear so I will hopefully be posting art and animation from my film as it comes.

Some winter break work

A few Ojibwe paintings specifically!

Wenabozo (or Nanabozho): The shapeshifting, rabbit spirit and the Hero of Anishinaabe culture

One of my film characters (below) is a baby thunderbird ( or animikii). This is my first attempt at using cell vinyl acrylic! I'm very excited to continue using it.

Squiboy paintings preview

Been working on portfolio pieces for CTN-X next weekend! Here are some squidboy paintings I've been working on, all gouache and watercolor. I wanted to post the raw scan cause I thought the practice colors and stuff on the bottom looked kind of cool, lol.
